Work
For thousands of people in hospitals working through health challenges, Musicians on Call’s (MOC) volunteer musicians bring joy, companionship, and the gift of music—lifting spirits and helping people to heal. For the past 20 years, this work has been a calling for MOC, and an opportunity to help people in their recovery journeys with music, whether performed in-person or, more and more, virtually.
MOC came to Teal at an inflection point. They had dramatically expanded their reach and their impact by bringing musical visits online at scale during the pandemic. Now, with a brand refresh, a new website, and a suite of creative materials, MOC and its trained volunteer musicians are spreading the transformative power of music to heal more patients and support more families in the US and around the world.
With a number of big-name artists and two decades of delivering personal performances in their back pocket, MOC wasn’t in need of a dramatic brand overhaul. But the “before” look was becoming dated, and the team wanted their visual identity freshened to match their major push into digital performances.
The result is a personal and joyful look and feel that appeals to hospital administrators, music industry leaders, musicians, and patients alike.
The MOC and Teal teams launched a collaborative process that was far more than a logo refresh. Together, we focused on the many ways MOC used the brand day-to-day in its work—from social and email to physical events like concerts and galas. Teal built a brand system for MOC to make every touch point consistent, beautiful, and easy for the MOC team to implement, including:
Teal developed a broad universe of assets—from stickers and step-and-repeats to social graphics and animations—to help the MOC team launch the brand with a splash.
Teal created an immersive world of visual materials and styles to help MOC use the brand everywhere—including social templates, artist features, and in-person event graphics.
When more people get involved with MOC, more people can be healed through the power of music. So for the new website, the goal was clear: get more donors, supporters, and partners engaged with MOC to multiply its impact.
That goal took shape as a dynamic new website that shares MOC’s important mission and gives color to the organization’s impact through stories, testimonials, and data. The overall feel is one of community, with an upbeat tone that makes an emotional appeal to MOC’s audiences and encourages them to get involved.
Behind the scenes, the site is optimized for SEO and page speed, and highly effective at driving conversions—meaning more volunteers, more donors, and more people touched by the healing power of music.
Teal created a flexible content system that lets MOC mix and match components to create unique and custom layouts across the site. This robust, easy-to-use design system lets the content guide the solution—not the other way around.
Every day, MOC volunteer musicians brighten the halls of hospitals and lift the spirits of patients, nurses, doctors, and families. Whether in person or virtually, the team is sparking hope and healing everywhere they go.
With the help of our partnership, the MOC team is reaching more people than ever, and turning that engagement into direct positive impact. We’re grateful to call the MOC team our partners and friends, and we can’t wait to find out what happens in their next verse!
Teal exceeded our expectations with their creativity, attention to detail, and collaborative approach in designing and implementing our new logo and website. Their expertise and dedication truly captured the essence of our organization and helped us better serve our mission
