Work
The National Patient Advocate Foundation (NPAF) is dedicated to lifting up the voices of patients and advocating for better access to affordable, equitable, quality health care. Put simply, “NPAF is here to ensure that the patient perspective is heard and that it matters.”
The Patient Advocate Foundation came to Teal ready for a website overhaul for NPAF, its advocacy affiliate. This new platform powers a nationwide community of advocates for patients and caregivers, giving them tools and training and inspiring them to transform our health care system.
Starting with the existing NPAF brand, Teal expanded the look and feel for the website with typography updates, a new approach to photography, and an overall tone that’s relatable, open, bright, and action-oriented. The result? A clear and bold new website that foregrounds patient and caregiver voices, helps visitors quickly understand what NPAF is about, and drives visitors to take action. Because a sometimes wonky topic doesn’t have to equal a boring, beige website.
Teal created a WordPress site for NPAF that makes it easy for the team to update content—from new stories and podcasts to press coverage and key actions—to keep the site fresh and relevant. Features include:
Results snapshot: Visits to the Education Resource Library are up 266% since launch and overall user experience and accessibility have improved sitewide.
Together, Teal and NPAF created a new home for a community of advocates working to make our health care system work better for all of us. It’s a complex system, and the work is never done, but NPAF’s efforts ensure that the voices of patients are front and center as we build that new future.
