Greater Mental Health of New York

A rebrand that reflects a supported holistic health journey

Greater Mental Health of New York strives to center humanity and connection in everything they do – whether through their direct services, making connections in the community, or advancing personal development for their staff.  Following a merger, they now provided even greater access to support people’s personal journeys to mental well-being. The merger meant that they needed a new name, brand, and website that would help them convey the organization’s greatest strength-their connections with individuals to facilitate a journey centered around humanity and personal empowerment.

The new logo brings two organizations together to convey the idea of balance and possibility. Throughout a person’s mental health journey, Greater Mental Health is right there, helping individuals to connect the dots between the right combination of services that can provide the greatest possibility for growth.

Additionally, the full suite of brand materials we created are grounded in the calming presence that Greater Mental Health each staff member brings to their work, to their patients, and to the community.

Progress along a mental health journey is also reflected in the experience users have when visiting the website. Following the merger, the organization had seen impressive results that were not accurately reflected in the way they presented and talked about their work online. It was important that we reconsider the way we present Greater Mental Health’s work and showcase their results. They needed new visual tools and frameworks to help them talk about and demonstrate the success and impact that Greater Mental Health makes possible.

In addition to showcasing Greater Mental Health’s impact, we also knew we needed to provide quick and easy access to support for those who need it. The new website makes it clear how to access services and support; how to find helpful mental health resources; and how to get involved to support their work to promote the mental health and wellbeing of people in Westchester, New York and beyond.
