OPTIMIZE

Improving treatments for people living with HIV
Patients at a clinic

Over the next 5 years, the introduction of a new set of ARV drugs has the potential to transform treatment in low- and middle-income countries.

ICAP at Columbia University is a member of OPTIMIZE – a global consortium of NGOs dedicated to rapidly improving treatment outcomes for people living with HIV by optimizing the development of antiretroviral drugs and accelerating their distribution in low- and middle-income countries. ICAP partnered with Teal Media to create the primary web presence and supporting print materials for the OPTIMIZE initiative.

The Website

    • Teal created a multilingual site, available in English, French, and Portuguese.
    • The About OPTIMIZE section literally puts people at the center of the story of Antiretroviral treatment (ART) optimization and showing why the OPTIMIZE effort is important.
    • Teal crafted custom simple, yet elegant icons that display key facts about the importance and benefits of ART optimization.
    • To showcase what ICAP specifically is doing on OPTIMIZE, Teal created Caption interactive “area of focus” cards that ‘flip on click’ to reveal additional information.
    • Teal also created an interactive map that profiles countries where ICAP is supporting efforts to accelerate the introduction of optimal ARVs.
    • The site closes with a section of resources critical to team working on the front lines.

    Print Materials

  • Teal’s work with ICAP didn’t end with the website. We also created a suite of print materials including custom-designed reports, interactive PDF toolkits, postcards, and templates.
